Certification Process

  1. Complete the ADR-CP or ADR-SCP Certification Application

  2. If your application is approved, you will be provided with an Approval to Test notice which will provide instructions on how to schedule and access your virtual exam.

    • If your application is denied, you will be provided with a denial notice which will outline the areas for further study prior to sitting for the exam in question or approval to take an exam of a different skill level.

  3. The exam must be taken using our virtual testing facility.

    • The exam will be available in English and Spanish.

    • Additional language options may be made available upon request.

  4. You will be notified of your score within 24hrs of completion.

Exam Application Audits

The ADR Council conducts random audits of exam applications to ensure compliance with certification requirements. Your application has been selected for audit as part of this process.

Audit Requirements

To proceed with your certification process, you must submit supporting documentation verifying:
✅ Your years of experience in Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR)
✅ Your degree obtained (if applicable)

The ADR Council does not contact employers or educational institutions on your behalf. It is your responsibility to provide the necessary verification documents.

Response Deadline

You must submit the requested documentation within 10 business days from the date of this notice. Failure to comply with the audit may result in:
❌ Denial of your application
❌ Revocation of your authorization to test
❌ Forfeiture of all fees paid

Additionally, candidates who do not comply with the audit will be subject to audit again if reapplying for a future testing window.
